At the Little Falls Public Library, we celebrate the diversity of individuals and invite everyone to enjoy our space while upholding a respectful and nurturing environment for learning, discovery, and community engagement. By entering our library, each patron commits to embracing this code of conduct, fostering an atmosphere conducive to exploring resources, studying, and collaboration. To ensure a pleasant experience for all, we kindly request the following:
Respectful Conduct: Embrace a respectful demeanor toward fellow patrons, staff, and the library premises. This includes refraining from the use of abusive language or action, running, damaging or misusing library property, and refraining from sleeping within the premises.
Noise Level: Maintain a level of noise that respects others by avoiding loud or persistent noises from personal devices or oneself that may disturb others.
Mobile Devices: Silence cell phones and take phone calls in designated areas such as the library’s lobby or outdoors.
Prohibited Items:Please refrain from using drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and vaping/smoking products when in the building.
Food and Drink: Water, coffee, and other non-alcoholic beverages are allowed if they are in sealed cups to prevent spillage. Food is not allowed in the library unless there is a program or event in the library that is offering light snacks.
Foster Tidiness: Ensure that you are not leaving behind items when you leave and clean up any materials utilized during your time at the library.
Supervision of Minors: Parents/guardians are responsible for their children’s behavior in the library at all times.
Closing Time: Patrons are asked to leave the library premises at closing unless attending a sanctioned after hours program/event hosted by the library. Patrons found within the library after normal operating hours will be considered trespassing.
Access to Restricted Areas: Patrons are prohibited from accessing staff areas without proper escort/permission from a staff or board member.
Violation of this Patron Code of Conduct may result in temporary or permanent removal of library privileges. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a positive and respectful environment for all patrons and staff at the Little Falls Public Library.
