More Details on Our Candlelit Library Open House

Walk through the historic entrance of the Little Falls Public Library and come see what makes the library so wonderful around Christmas time. Our staff members have been hard at work creating a cozy atmosphere for all to enjoy during our Candlelit Library Open House. On December 22 from 4:30-7:30pm there will be light refreshments in our community room, history tours of our building, and a chance to meet Santa beginning at 5:30 in our Children’s Center. Tours of our building will be conducted in two different groups, one will be downstairs only and the other will go upstairs to our China room. The upstairs tour is not handicap accessible, but the downstairs tour is.

During the evening, raffle tickets will be available for purchase for two raffles. Our first raffle is currently ongoing which features two sets of handmade Christmas ornaments kindly donated by John Ossowski and the Knitting & Crochet Group that meets at our library. Each ornament set comes with six different knitted or crocheted ornaments. Tickets for the ornament raffle are priced at $2 for 1 or $5 for 3 tickets. Two winners will be drawn. Our second raffle will feature an ink drawing done by RC Oster, who specializes in ink drawings of nature scenes and architectural landmarks. Mr. Oster instructed one of our En Plein Air Art Workshops this fall and has given us one of his pieces to raffle off. The piece up for raffle displays two homes native to Little Falls. Tickets for this raffle will be available during the night of the open house only and are priced at $5 for 1 ticket or $10 for 4 tickets. The winner will be drawn at the end of the night. Winners do not have to be present to win.
