Little Falls Public Library Raffle

The Little Falls Public Library is pleased to announce, for the end of this summer season, its raffle of an ocean-vacation themed lap blanket, as hand-made and graciously donated by the Little Falls Tuesday Night Knitters’ Club. In vibrant shades of blue and white, this blanket is a one-of-a-kind handcrafted item, a wonderful addition to any chair, ottoman or cozy bed, evoking the colors and patterns of the seaside tides, even when warming you or your loved ones through a frigid Adirondack winter. The dimensions of the blanket are roughly forty-eight inches by thirty-six inches of comfort and joy. Tickets are available at the library’s front information desk at the cost of five dollars per two entries or ten dollars per four, the winner drawn on the afternoon of Saturday, September the 10th. The blanket will be on display at the library’s iPad station near its information desk. Entrants need not be present at the time of this drawing to win. The proceeds of the raffle will go toward the operation and continued growth of the Little Falls Public Library.

The Little Falls Tuesday Night Knitters’ Club worked as a collective to create the raffle’s cozy machine-washable prize, a sampler of several stitches and several crafters’ personal styles. The avid readers of the club decided to honor their local library through the creation of the functional art piece for raffle in the library’s benefit. Each member created a section of the blanket, over the course of 2022 and upon completion, the club presented the finished work to the library for this fundraiser. The knitters welcome new friends and compatriots in arts, crafting and comradery at their weekly meetings Tuesday evenings at 7PM in the Little Falls Community Center, 524 East Main Street in Little Falls.
