Register Today for Next Week’s Paint ‘n’ Sip

by Mike Cecconi

The Little Falls Public Library is pleased to announce an upcoming session in Jill Rae Vennera’s popular “Paint and Sip” series as a fundraiser for the library, the evening of Thursday, September 23rd from 6 PM to 8 PM. It will take place in the library’s back Community / Gallery Room at 10 Waverly Place. Tickets are priced at $35 per attendee and reservations can be made by signing up in-person at the library or contacting the library by e-mail or via the telephone. All painting supplies will be provided as well as snacks, wine and/or iced tea, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Little Falls Public Library’s operating funds. On the rare chance of any COVID-related cancellation for this event, there would of course be a full refund and event rescheduling.

The painting Ms. Vennera will walk participants through at this paint and sip session is a lovely early-autumnal tableau of summer and fall vegetation, most prominently bright sunflowers and plump orange pumpkins along with related green foliage. It evokes the transition of the seasons, matching the mid-to-late September date of the sessions, contrasted against a background of blue gradients, popping with color and vibrant energy that will make any participant involved proud to display their work prominently. According to Jill Rae, “Everyone is an artist!” even those who have not yet painted, exploring and discover their own senses of style along the way. On top of that, these events in the past have also been prime places to socialize with others interested in the arts, over a nice snack and a good “sip” as well!

Jill Rae Vennera’s Paint and Sip events are popular all across Little Falls and its surrounding communities, as both fundraising events as well as festivities such as bridal showers and similar celebrations. Based out of her Easels on the Gogh stop in the nearby Herkimer, she spreads appreciation and participation for the painting arts, for both the experienced and completely inexperienced all over the Mohawk Valley region. In addition to the instruction and facilitation of the arts, she is also a successful commercial sign painter and signs designer, her promotional and advertising work gracing many area businesses and local institutions. A return to school for Art Therapy inspired her to enrich communities by sharing her skills through events like this.

For more information on this or other upcoming events, you can visit the LF library’s website at www.lflibrary.org, check out their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/littlefallslibrary, or call 315-823-1542.
